I held the following positions in the Department of Media and Communication (2010-2015):

Deputy Director of Research (2014-2015)

Duties included providing feedback to colleagues on external grant proposals, reviewing PhD applications and acting as REF impact coordinator for the unit. I also deputised for the Director of Research at a number of College meetings. 

BA Media & Sociology Programme Director (2012-13)

Duties included preparing and chairing Exam Boards, reviewing module and programme handbooks, handling appeals and complaints, and inducting new students into the Department.

BSc Communications, Media & Society Programme Director (2012-13)

Duties included preparing and chairing Exam Boards, reviewing module and programme handbooks, handling appeals and complaints, and inducting new students into the Department.

PGT Admissions Tutor (2009-2011)

I oversaw recruitment for the Department’s postgraduate and undergraduate programme. This involved making presentations at Open Days, liaising with the College on promotional materials e.g. prospectus and assessing applications.

Department Twitter Editor (2013)

I was responsible for creating and sharing content via the Department’s Twitter feed.
