
I am currently the College of Social Sciences Ethics Lead. This role involves working with two deputy leads to provide leadership on ethical issues in the College and Schools. It includes liaising with wider ethics and research integrity issues at the University level. The role also ensures the College’s ethical review processes follow the wider regulatory landscape. It involves designing and delivering training materials for staff and PGRs. I am also the Chair of the College Ethics Review Committee and a member of the University Ethics Committee.
I have previously held these positions at the University of Glasgow:
Programme Convenor, MSc Media, Culture & Society (June 2022-June 2025).
Duties include preparing and chairing Exam Boards, reviewing module and programme handbooks, handling appeals and complaints, and inducting new students into the School. I was also responsible for the re-design of the MCS independent research project, the allocation of PGT supervisions, and developing training materials for both staff and students.
Media and Digital Society lead, School of Social and Political Science PGT Portfolio Review (June 2023-January 2024).
Duties included reviewing current PGT programmes in thematic area, consulting staff and students on new pathways, and proposing new assessment diets at programme level.
